Damien is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience working with adolescents and adults to address mental health issues and concerns in a wide variety of contexts. These include personality issues, depressive symptoms, anxiety, trauma, problem sexual behaviours, and issues that arise out of interaction with courts, tribunals, government agencies, personal injury, and the workers compensation process.
Damien adopts evidence-based strategies such as cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as using psychometric assessment as part of the therapeutic process. He is also able to provide cognitive and intellectual abilities assessments.
Having many years of experience in the area of forensic psychology, Damien is skilled in providing treatment services in this area, psycho-legal opinion, and expert evidence for Tasmanian courts, tribunals, and statutory bodies.
