Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Appointments

Consultation is by appointment: if you require a longer appointment time, e.g. minor procedures, pre-employment medicals, insurance reports etc, please advise reception at the time of booking.

Some appointments can extend longer than expected and cause some delay: your understanding and patience would be appreciated.

Walk-in appointments may be accepted, however there may be a wait as priority is given to patients who have already booked an appointment.

Home visits in the local area may be organised by prior arrangement with your practitioner if your practitioner deems it necessary.

Our Fees

Fees vary due to the length and complexity of a consultation.

Payment is required on the day of the consultation, by cash or card.

Your Medicare Rebate is refunded instantly into your bank account when paying electronically.

Fees apply for prescriptions or referrals without an appointment, and some consumables such as wound dressings and disposable instruments.

Billing Arrangement

Private patients are charged at AMA rates. Our fees reflect the quality of our service.

Private patients pay a gap beyond the Medicare refund. This varies according to the complexity of service or procedure.

We are a private billing practice. Information about our fees and services are available at reception.

Payment at the time of consultation is required.

A fee will be charged for procedures, dressings and vaccines, to cover costs.

Payment can be made by cash, credit card or EFTPOS.

Special Practice Notes

Our Health & Fitness Studio classes and programs are delivered by our Exercise Physiologists & Physiotherapists. Memberships and casual visits are available.

Results. You will be contacted if any follow up appointment is required regarding your pathology results. Alternatively, you may book an appointment with your doctor or nurse practitioner to discuss your results. Please allow one week when booking your appointment to ensure your results have been received. Results will no longer be discussed over the phone.

Repeat scripts & Referral. Referrals to a medical specialist require consultation by the referring practitioner. This is governed by the Medicare act.

The supply of medication without a consultation is potentially hazardous. In the interest of patient health and safety, a consultation is required for all script requests.

Despite our best intentions, we sometimes run late! This is because someone has needed unexpected urgent attention. Thank you for your consideration.

Telephone Calls. Practitioners in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. Wherever possible, please discuss your problem first with the receptionist or the nurse. If the practitioner is with a patient, a message will be taken and you will be advised by the reception staff when it is likely that the practitioner will return your call.

Patient Privacy. This practice protects your personal health information to ensure it is only available to authorised staff members for the intended purposes and to comply with the Privacy Act. To obtain a copy of our Privacy Statement or your medical records, please ask.

Reminder System. Our practice is committed to preventive care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventive health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let us know at reception.
